Following the huge success of our first Creating Scotland event in Perth, we are back with our new more culturally based indy campaigning push. Our first Creating Scotland event of the year will be a celebration of Burns and Scottish culture through the use of music, comedy, readings and creative thinking on independence in Glasgow on Saturday, 18th January at 12:30pm.

Tickets are £10 each - get yours here! (240 tickets sold already)

It has become clear that a key element missing from the Independence Campaign since 2014 has been the cultural side of the campaign and a creative element to our campaigning activities. Believe in Scotland wants to change that. Our Campaign Steering Group has set up a sub group to work towards embedding cultural and creative activities in our campaign. 'Creating Scotland' is the first of many steps in this direction and we hope you are keen to join us.

We will be updating the event line up as we get closer to the event but for now we are delighted to announce:

Billy Kay - Scottish writer, broadcaster and language activist, well known for his passion for and knowledge about the Scots language. Billy will also be performing his famous Tam o' Shanter.

Bruce Fummey - Stand up comedian (former Scottish Comedian of the Year), story teller and now YouTuber with the channel Scottish History Tours.

Sheena Wellington - Traditional Scottish singer who sang Robert Burns song 'A Man's A Man For A' That' at the opening ceremony of the Scottish Parliament in 1999 and most recently at Alex Salmond's memorial.

Susi Briggs - Author, storyteller, poet and musician and former Scots Scriever for the National Library of Scotland.

Davy Holt - Traditional, Original & Contemporary Scottish folk music in an upbeat and energetic style that has seen him become a well known and popular entertainer throughout Scotland and beyond.

Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp - Founder of Believe in Scotland, will be hosting the event and facilitating discussion.

Line-up still subject to change.

Saturday 18th of January, put the date in diary and come join us.

The ground floor of this venue is fully accessible and we are looking into the possibility of live streaming the event.
