Believe in Scotland to launch new energy campaign
The i-Switch guarantees massive savings because without the high cost UK energy market, prices would be far lower.
So what is i–Switch?
i-switch means switching to independence. Energy will be massively cheaper in an independent Scotland. Westminster controls our energy market, forcing Scots to pay for the UK’s costly energy mix, including nuclear and gas, while Scotland’s wind and hydro power are sold cheaply south of the border.
The 'i-switch' campaign will explain how independence would give Scotland the powers to take control of its vast renewable resources, reform the energy market, and bring down costs for homes and businesses.
The campaign will be designed to speak to the undecided voters through a range of content focusing on real‑life concerns rather than party politics: energy bills, fairness, and local benefit from Scotland’s natural wealth.
It’s about making independence feel practical and relevant. A switch Scotland can make to lower prices and build a fairer future

Kicking off the energy campaign with an Indy Campaign Day in Perth on Saturday the 30th of August.
As part of the campaign we will be producing a new leaflet which we will be distributing on the 30th in Perth.Â
Near Perth, why not come join us on the day? Help us spread the message that only a switch to independence is the way to guarantee lowering energy bills.Â

National Day of Action on September 20thÂ
Believe in Scotland is asking Yes groups to get out campaigning in their local area on the same day, reach the undecided and show the movement is active, positive and visible.
This time, we want to focus on the ridiculous cost energy and distribute our new I‑Switch leaflet, highlighting how Westminster control keeps Scotland’s energy prices high and how independence could bring them down.Â
We’ll also run co‑ordinated online action to boost reach across Scotland.
